Restored and extended while respecting the traditional Norman architecture, La Petite Chaumière Normande combines authenticity, comfort, and elegance. Our project, guided by the desire to blend heritage and modernity, now offers a refined holiday experience in the heart of the Pays d'Auge countryside.

Nestled in the heart of a large garden surrounded by a young hedge, our cottage benefits from abundant natural light and views of an orchard and the rolling landscapes of the Pays d'Auge. The tranquility of the location promises a relaxing holiday with family or friends.

Beneath the exposed beams , the large living room opens onto the garden and is bathed in light. A welcoming kitchen, dining area, and lounge create a warm and inviting space, perfect for gathering. The garden terrace, an extension of the kitchen, is ideal for summer meals and peaceful evenings. Here, you can savor the tranquility of the garden and the gentle feeling of time standing still.

Beneath the thatched roof and the gaze of a large cedar tree, the cottage breathes light, wood, and a sense of timelessness. A haven of peace where each room tells its own story :

🌿 Under the Cedar Tree - Beneath the majestic branches of the grand cedar, this master suite invites tranquility. A king-size bed, a bathroom, and a bright office nook create a peaceful haven where time seems to stand still. In the morning, light filters through the foliage, enveloping the room in a natural softness.

🐴 The Barn - Beneath the exposed beams and original half-timbering, The Barn celebrates the spirit of traditional architecture, revisited with finesse. The spaciousness, the warmth of the wood, and the meticulous details make it a family room with a unique character. A discreet baby area completes this haven of comfort and authenticity.

⚓️ The Tides - A breath of fresh sea air inspires this bright room, with its soft hues and nautical details. The twin beds offer flexibility and comfort in a soothing atmosphere reminiscent of the nearby sea. Between sky and horizon, Les Marées evokes the lightness of stays by the water.

🏛️ Our guests appreciate this preserved environment conducive to relaxation and the discovery of regional heritage : hiking trails, the picturesque towns of Beaumont-en-Auge or Blangy-le-Château, local products... 5km away, the town of Pont l'Évêque and 15km away, the beaches of Deauville and the Côte Fleurie.

An authentic Norman thatched cottage combining old-world charm and contemporary comfort, for a peaceful stay between heritage and nature.

Our stays: In spring and autumn, rentals are available for a minimum of 3 nights (excluding school holidays) or 4 nights (during school holidays). In July and August, rentals are available for a minimum of 7 nights.

• Practical information: Linens provided, beds made upon arrival, no smoking or vaping allowed, no pets, no events permitted. Free parking, including one space under the carport. Cleaning service provided by us at no extra charge; out of consideration for us, please leave the house in a reasonable condition.
